Ces Podd was a pioneer when he played more than 500 games for Bradford City, in a football career that lasted from the early 1970s into the late 1980s.
It's for his second career that we decided to celebrate Ces Podd with this t-shirt; as a community officer at Leeds United, Ces made connections between the club and local communities, paving the way for players like Aaron Lennon and Micah Richards to become stars.
"For us that was the start of the Kick Racism Out of Football campaign," Ces told us. "I thought it was really important, the fact that I was a black person who came from Leeds and became a footballer, and was able to make a career out of it.”
Artist Joe Gamble designed the artwork for our limited edition tees, that are screen printed by hand in Leeds.
